Bethel (ביתאל) means house (בית) of God (אל) in Hebrew.
We are Presbyterian Christians who endeavour to uphold the truth of the Holy Scriptures as expressed in the 1646 Westminster Standards (Westminster Confession of Faith, Westminster Shorter Catechism, and Westminster Larger Catechism).
We absolutely believe in the Divine Preservation and Infallibility of the Holy Scriptures. We accept the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament and the Greek Textus Receptus (TR) to be the only true representatives of the Word of God in the original languages. In the English language, we normally read from the Authorised Version (KJV) of the Holy Bible.
We also believe in Exclusive Psalmody and therefore, we only sing the biblical Psalms (normally using the 1650 Scottish Psalter) during personal and congregational worship.
